The Volunteer Programs Department staffs volunteers in several different areas around the Aquarium. Please see below for a list of their positions with a brief description and the prerequisites for volunteering in each position.
VP: Atrium Booth Attendant Volunteer - Atrium Booth Attendant volunteers set-up/clean-up, staff a booth, offering guests information and answering questions about the Aquarium & surrounding attractions. Maps and information about other attractions provided.
Prerequisites:
- Training - 101: Orientation
- On-the-job training with Volunteer Programs
VP: Office Assistant - Office Assistant volunteers assist with various office tasks such as making phone calls, filing, data entry, photocopying, preparing mailings, etc. Standard uniform attire is required sa office volunteers may be asked to assist with other Volunteer Programs positions such as Atrium Booth, Planet Shark, Shipping & Receiving, etc.

- Training - 101: Orientation
VP: Planet Shark - Planet Shark volunteers will rove around the exhibit from entrance to exit answering guests' questions and manning the Shark conservation cart, as needed.

VP: Newsletter Contributor - At any time, volunteers may email articles or photos about aquarium-related experiences to be considered for inclusion in The Volunteer Voice newsletter. Please email submissions to volunteernewsletter@georgiaaquarium.org
