 Volunteer Area Overview

The Guest Services Department staffs volunteers in several different areas around the Aquarium. Please see below for a list of their positions with a brief description and the prerequisites for volunteering in each position.

GS: Information Booth - Information Booth volunteers attend the concierge desk just inside the building, greete guests, answer questions and assistthem with coat check and wheelchair sign-outs.

Prerequisites:

  • Training - 101: Orientation

GS: Theater - Theater volunteers greet guests entering the theater, answer their questions, hand out 3D glasses, operate a machine to clean these glasses after the show and load the streamer cannons.

Prerequisites:

  • Training - 101: Orientation

GS: Welcome Host - Welcome Host volunteers greet guests as they arrive at the Aquarium, answer their questions, and assist their entrance.  You may be positioned outside along the covered walkway during nice weather, or during extreme weather conditions, positioned just inside the entrance.
