Welcome to the Education Department’s Volunteer Page!

During the school year, Education volunteers assist staff with school programs. During breaks, volunteers help with Camp H2O. Both roles include program set-up/cleanup, greeting participants outside and interacting with children at exhibits & activities. In addition to the prerequisites listed below, volunteers must be able to work well with school-aged children ranging from Kindergarten to High School levels and have a desire to teach them about the aquatic world in a fun and interesting way!
Prerequisites for being an Education Department volunteer:
- Training - 101: Orientation
- Availability to work during daytime hours, Monday-Friday
- Ocean Voyager, Tropical Diver & Cold Water Quest gallery trainings (230,250,220 & 221)
- Attend an Education Training session (given by Education Department) that will be posted on the VIC when it is available
