The Aquarium Ambassadors are an enthusiastic group of volunteers that represents the Georgia Aquarium at trade shows, street festivals, college volunteer fairs and other get-togethers throughout the year. Volunteers who are in the Ambassador Program engage individuals and explore their interest in the Aquarium and any of the great programs the Aquarium has to offer. This is a fun opportunity for volunteers to get out of the Aquarium and reach out to the community. So if you are energetic and love to share your experiences and knowledge of the Aquarium with guests, then come be a part of the Aquarium Ambassadors!

“The Ambassador Program affords me the opportunity to reach out to potential guests that might not otherwise be aware of all the great exhibits and offerings we have at the Georgia Aquarium. Despite how large and well known the aquarium is, many people still do not know what we are all about.”

~John Tackett, Aquarium Ambassador since winter 2008

“I love working with the Ambassadors. You work and meet the coolest people.”

~ Ann Burkley, Aquarium Ambassador since spring 2009
